For many small and mid-sized businesses we standardise on Ubiquiti’s UniFi platform, because in our experience it strikes the best practical balance of performance, visibility, manageability and long-term value. When we design a network we’re already thinking past today’s requirement to where you’re likely headed: more Wi-Fi, extra switches, cameras, door access, intercoms, user permissions, alerts and remote management across multiple sites. UniFi lets all of that live in one clean, centralised system — networking, Protect cameras, Access door control, Connect screens and sensors — that grows with you without locking you into complex enterprise licensing or specialist-only management. You see and manage the whole environment from a single dashboard, and so can we.

We’re not religious about one brand. Depending on the job we’ll weigh UniFi against Cisco and Cisco Meraki, Sophos, MikroTik, Netgear and Ruijie/Reyee — each has its place. Cisco and Sophos can suit more complex or security-heavy environments; MikroTik is powerful but more technical to run day to day; the budget platforms are fine where the site is simple. Where deeper security matters we’ll compare genuinely subscription-based options like Sophos against UniFi’s core platform, where enhanced protection (UniFi CyberSecure) is an optional add-on rather than a mandatory licence for core network management. The point is simple: we recommend the platform that fits your business and how you’ll actually run it — not the one that’s easiest to sell.
